Meet Nancy

Hi, I am Nancy Bates running to be your Representative in Jefferson City. I graduated Ozark Technical Community College with a two year degree and finished with Southwest Missouri University with a BS in Wildlife Conservation and Management. Retired from Missouri Department of Conservation in 2013 to help take care of my mom and when we lost her I became involved with my community to continue contributing as a public servant.

Volunteering where I could, I became a committee person with our County Committee, joined our local Democrat Club. I have continued a campaign of activities since 2016 when I became aware that the United States would elect someone so unqualified to lead our Country. My service came by way of making phone calls, knocking doors and post card campaigns for our MO Candidates. I have worked for our County Clerk since 2018 as an election judge.

I also volunteer with summer school lunch programs while kids are out of school and back to school programs offering school supplies, always looking for ways to help.

Our Initiative Petition process has become important here in MO and so important to me. I am proud to be involved in the many IP's over the years and especially proud of the most recent project where we gathered 380,000 signatures to force the "Right to Reproductive Freedom" on the ballot for the Nov 5 2024 general election.

My goal is to remain a public servant and to represent Camden County residents. We need people to go to Jeff City to work together for the benefit of Missourians instead of the infighting that has happened in the past.
