Alex was raised in southern Ohio by two loving parents. The community that shaped him was very similar to the Weldon Spring community in which he now resides. He studied Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University with a focus on molecular and nano technology. After graduating, he spent several years as a project manager for a medical software company in Madison, WI where he met his talented wife, Sarah. The two of them moved from Madison to Missouri to California before settling outside of St Louis. Alex now works for a large hospital lab managing their microbiology information technology. When he isn't working or campaigning, you can catch him gardening with native plants, foraging along the Lewis and Clark trail, or thinning honeysuckle and restoring prairie on their property in Lincoln Co.
