August Amendment Info

These are the amendments that we all will get to vote on. Amendments 4 and 5 are especially important. I am voting as follows:

Yes on #1 because I believe that investing in our parks is a good investment that pays off both in terms of making money for the state and protecting the natural beauty of Missouri.

Yes on #2 because I believe in giving people the voice whenever possible, and allowing a vote to select the assessor will do this.

No on #3 because this would all but end the chance that we have to bring issues to a vote and get our amendments passed. Amendments brought by the legislature would only need a simple majority to pass, but amendments brought by the people would need a majority in each congressional district. It is not fair to have one set of rules for the people in Jefferson City and one for the rest of us.

No on #4 this is just an example of those in power trying to trick us. They are promising that they will take away some taxes if we just give them permission to increase existing sales tax and tax services. This is a scheme to help the wealthiest Missourians while people like me, will have to pay more just to maintain my current lifestyle.
